We got ripped off Unfortunately we got ripped off with this company. I was in Rwanda with a group of colleagues who decided to go to a 1 day excursion to see the golden monkeys in the Volcanoes National Park. We got charged USD 365 per person and we were 3, so a total os USD 1,095. We spent 3 hours for the PCR test and they brought us later to a place they called it national park but we didn't see the entrance anywhere. We stayed less than 1 hour spotting the golden monkeys and they took us back to lunch and the hotel after spending most of the day in the car and waiting for the PCR results. The whole thing was a set up becuase we never got in the national park thru any official entrance. A few weeks later, they contacted us to remove the bad reviews in exchange of a compasation, we did remove the reviews but never got the compensations. I do not recommend this company, they are everything but serious. It was total rip off

Phenomenal Experience - Amazing Guides Shalom Safaris provided me with an exceptional experience. One of the many reasons I came to Rwanda was for the gorilla trekking, it's an amazing thing to witness up close and in person.The crew at Shalom Safaris handled my tour with the utmost professionalism, courtesy and kindness. Very bad experience We felt ripped off with this tour. They charged us 365 USD for the golden monkey tour in the Volcanoes National Park per person, for 3 people. The tour lasted less than one hour ... we spent more time waiting for the covid test results which was mandatory, than for the tour itself.The guide that took us clearly was not a guide from the park, he didn't have any identification and didn't explain us anything.We never saw the park entrance, we went through a "back" entrance in the middle of private properties.We arrived and very quickly we spotted the monkeys, so we spent like 45 minutes with the monkeys and that was the tour. Honestly 365 USD is not a fair price for this.Afterwards, we contacted another tour operator who told us that for that tour USD 200 would have been a fair price. We tried to get a refund from Shalom Safaris but they completely dismissed us.

Rwanda visit We left Kigali early morning for Akagera. Our drive Alain and tour guide Lisa were so wonderful. The ride was fun, good conversation, good food and music. They helped us get a quick Covid test since we had forgotten to take it a night before. Once at thé Akagera, thé Check in was very fast and smooth . At the park, Lisa explained everything and she was very knowledgeable about everything in the park. The whole experience was amazing. We also rented a car though Shalom Safaris , Olivier and Alain made sure we got the right car for our family and the whole process was easy . I highly recommend this company. The Ennis Family

1-Day Gisenyi Lake Kivu Tour 1-Day Gisenyi Lake Kivu tour was amazing and well curated. Oliver was very helpful in setting up the trip and Abou was also a great guide and driver, he showed us various landmarks on the way to Gisenyi, he also made us feel comfortable throughout the entire day. 100% recommend Shalom Safaris Kigali.

Great day tour with family Abou was a great guide on the day tour of Rwanda. He showed us the neighborhoods and the history of this beautiful city. He was very knowledgeable and friendly.i recommend this company due to their professionalism.

1-day gorilla trekking 1-day gorilla trekking experience was amazing, the guides are nice and helpful. Since november is rainy season the path was a bit muddy, but it was bearable. Experience with shalom safaris was nice, they were really responsive, helpful and nice. Would recommend 👌

A Splendid 3-day Safari in Akagera Park Based on the recommendations of a friend who is familiar with Akagera Park on what we should do, I asked 3 Rwandan companies to organize a three-day safari in the Park for my recomposed family of seven (2 young couples, their parents, and myself (grandparent)). The response of Shalom Safaris was by far the most complete and professional. I really appreciated their attention to last-minute details.With their knowledge of the Park, Shalom Safaris set up a perfectly organized safari. We were picked-up in Kigali exactly on time early am, entered the Park from the south and stayed one night in the south and the second in the north, where we exited on the third day and were transferred back to Kigali. We saw lots of animals and birds on the way in and out of the Park, on the trip from the south to the north, and during separate morning and evening game drives. We also had a boat trip on Lake Ihema (wisely organized to take place before the last sunset trip of the day, which meant we were able to experience several enormous crocodiles slithering into the lake, where they probably stayed until past sunset). Throughout our trip, our driver and guide Ezra, a true professional, demonstrated his knowledge of the bush, was sensitive to our whims, and was enormous fun to be with.Kudos to Shalom Safaris and to Ezra, with thanks from my family!

Worthwhile gorilla trek - Volcanoes NP I had a great experience! My driver was friendly and very accommodating. Once you're at the park office, you have an opportunity at the briefing to request to join a group taking a short or longer trek. I opted for a long trek but was expecting a lot more habit diversity on the trek. It's mostly through bamboo jungle, with little else to see until you reach the Gorillas. So I'd suggest opting for a shorter trip and spending more of your time enjoying the lakes and scenery in the area.
