ITINERARY OF 8 DAYS CONGO AND RWANDA ADVENTURE
DAY ONE: Arrival at Kigali airport
8 Days congo and Rwanda adventure will start when representative will be holding a placard bearing your namely happily waiting to receive you at Kigali airport. He will immediately transfer you to a hotel in Kigali for relaxation, dinner and an overnight.
DAY TWO: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park, Southern Rwanda
After breakfast, our tour guide will pick you from the hotel and drive southwards, en route visiting the Mirambi Genocide memorial site and the King’s Palace . Overnight stay at Nyungwe Safari Lodge / Gisakura Guest House. end of 2nd day Congo and Rwanda adventure.
DAY THREE: Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe National Park
Very early in the morning assemble at Gisakura park headquarters for briefing from the senior park ranger before undertaking a forest walk searching for man’s closest relative – the chimpanzees. Overnight stay at Nyungwe Safari Lodge / Gisakura Guest House. end of 3rd day Congo and Rwanda adventure.
DAY FOUR: Cross over to Bukavu in Congo
This day cross over to DR Congo in preparation for the next day’s lowland gorilla trekking. It takes less than 2 hours to cross over to Bukavu town.
This day you may visit the museum at Bukavu and other interesting places at Lake Kivu with a boat cruise to Idjwi Island. Overnight stay Orchides Mbayo / Coco Horizon. end of 4th day Congo and Rwanda adventure safari.
DAY FIVE: Gorilla trekking
Start from Tshivanga Visitor Centre for a briefing on the trek. Then penetrate the in the company of armed game rangers following the well attended to trails.
In the forest, you will be allowed at least an hour in the presence of the lowland gorillas. Return to the lodge for relaxation and later return to Rwanda’s Lake Kivu shore for an overnight at Kivu Serena Hotel / Paladis Malahide. end of 5th day Congo and Rwanda Adventure.
DAY SIX: Boat cruise on Lake Kivu
Enjoy a boat cruise to coffee Island. Witness the local brewing of banana beer and the banana gardens. Return to the shores for lunch and in the afternoon drive to Ruhengeri – Kinigi. Overnight stay Mt Gorilla View Lodge | La Palme Hotel. End of 6th day congo and Rwanda Adventure.
DAY SEVEN: Mountain gorilla trekking
This day is reserved for tracking mountain gorillas in Volcanoes national park Ad transfer them back to Kigali. end of 7th day Congo and Rwanda adventure.
DAY EIGHT: Kigali city Tour, Gift shop, and departure
On the last day of safari, we will do a Kigali city tour with a giftshop in the morning hours and depart in the evening hours. end of service of 8 days Congo and Rwanda Adventure Tour.

The food may not be sophisticated but benefits from the inclusion of fresh fruit and vegetables. You will find a largely vegetarian diet, although meat is available. The cuisine is largely based around beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, bananas, and rice.
Any time of year is a good time to travel in Rwanda. Rwanda is known as eternal spring. It maintains a relatively even temperature of about 76.3°F – 82°F/ 24.6°C – 27.6 °C. The hottest time of year is August through September. Evenings are often cool and refreshing and a sweater is suggested. There are two rainy seasons, March through May and October through December. The rainy season shows itself typically with a daily downpour mixed with sunshine. The annual rainfall averages 31.5 in/ 80 cm.
