Itinerary of 15 days safari at rwenzori mountain and queen elizabeth national park

 

Day 1 : Arrival

Safari at Rwenzori mountain will start On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by our delegate who will transfer you to your place of accommodation in the capital of Kampala at this day there will be no activity.

 

Day 2 : Transfer from Kampala to Jinja

Following day, waking up in the morning for breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala, have lunch along the way and then continue to Jinja make a stop to visit the sugar plantations before finally arriving in Jinja is about 125.9 km long and about 3 h 24 min where you will dine and spend the night.

 

Day 3 :  Day in Jinja

Right After breakfast, you enjoy White water rafting, quad biking, kayaking, or even horse riding. Rafting is a thrilling activity and is among the most fascinating tourist activities carried out at the source of the Nile, and it doesn’t need any expertise since you can actually learn on the same day.

You will head back to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go for a boat ride, visit some fishing villages and the Bujagali Falls. Dine and overnight at the hotel. end of 3rd day safari at Rwenzori mountain and Queen Elizabeth National Park tour package.

 

Day 4 : Transfer from Jinja to Mount Elgon

Safari at Rwenzori mountain tour package will start In the morning leave Jinja for the less explored east driving through Mbale a lively town of the foothills of Mountain Elgon, This place is about 79 km long and about 1 h 15 min, rich with heritage and interesting culture.

Along the way you will enjoy great views of the Sipi falls, the mountain and various homesteads. You will have lunch in Mbale, after which you will hike to the beautiful Sipi falls; going through the banana plantations, local homesteads, maize fields and ascend the cascading falls. Dine and overnight

 

Day 5 : Transfer from Mount Elgon to Kidepo valley national park

Following the breakfast and checkout driving to Kidepo valley national park which is about 313 km long and about 6hrs. We shall take a lunch along the way and after reaching on Kidepo valley national park we will check in, dinner and overnight.

 

Day 6 : Tour at Kidepo valley national park

Following the breakfast driving to Kidepo national park for safaris, Kidepo national park is a 1,442 square kilometers (557 sq. mi) national park in the Karamoja region in northeast Uganda. Kidepo is rugged savannah, dominated by the 2,750 meters (9,020 ft.) Mount Morungole and transected by the Kidepo and Narus rivers.

The park has arguably the most diverse fauna of any park in the country. It is particularly rich in predators, including lion, leopard and bat-eared fox. Black-backed and side-striped jackal are both present. There are large herds of buffalo.

Twelve antelope species occur in the park, including Jackson’s hartebeest, oribi, eland and klipspringer. One hundred Uganda kob were transferred into the park (from Murchison Falls) in 2017. There are plans to reintroduce white rhino in the future. Day 7 : transfer from Kidepo national park to Murchison fall.

Following the breakfast driving from Kidepo national park to Murchison fall, within a distance of 300 km and 7-8 hour drive, we shall take a lunch along the way, after reaching at Murchison fall at around 05 pm, dine and overnight

 

Day 8 : Tour at Murchison fall

Following the breakfast we may start our tour at Murchison fall, The Park is the location of the Murchison Falls, where the waters of the Nile flow through a narrow gorge only 7 meters wide before plunging 43 meters.

Also is the location of the 600 megawatt Karuma Power Station, which will be Uganda’s largest power station. MFCA and the adjacent Bugondo Forest Reserve have 76 species of mammals as well as Uganda’s largest population of crocodiles.

450 bird species are present ranging from easy variety of water birds, including the rare shoe-billed stork, Buganda’s 59 “restricted range” species, dwarf kingfisher, Goliath heron, white-tithed hornbill and great blue turaco. In the afternoon, a boat trip to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Our tour may end at around 04 pm for dinner and overnight

 

Day 9 : Transfer from Murchison fall for a safari at Rwenzori mountain national park

Following the breakfast driving from Murchison fall for a safari at Rwenzori mountain national park, within a distance of 291 km and 7 hour drive, we shall take a lunch along the way, we may reach at Rwenzori mountain national park at around 05 pm, dine and overnight.

 

Day 10 : Safari at Rwenzori mountain National park

On this day we will do nothing rather than enjoying the full day safari at Rwenzori mountain National park.

 

Day 11 : Safari at Rwenzori mountain national park  and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Following the breakfast we may start our Safari at Rwenzori mountain national park, the Park is a Ugandan national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Rwenzori Mountains. Almost 1,000 km² in size, the park has Africa’s third highest mountain peak and many waterfalls, lakes, and glaciers.

The fabled “Mountains of The Moon” lie in Western Uganda on the Congolese border, with snow-covered, equatorial peaks rising to height of 5110 m and lower slopes blanketed in moorland and rich montane forest.

Most of the park is accessible to hikers with magnificent scenery and 19 Albertine Rift endemics, amongst them; Rwenzori Turaco and Shelley’s Crimsoning, would be ample reward for the intrepid, backpacking birder. Our tour may end at around 03 pm and drive like 3 hours (161km) to Bwindi impenetrable national park for gorilla trekking after check in a hotel we will take a dinner and overnight.

 

Day 11 : Gorilla trekking at Bwindi impenetrable national park

Following the breakfast we may start our gorilla trekking at Bwindi which is a biodiverse, mountainous area in southwest Uganda. Its home to many of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, who feed on roots, leaves and fruits from the park’s many tree and fern species.

Restricted numbers of viewing permits help protect the endangered gorilla families. In the park, rough paths weave amid dense forests, which are home to many butterflies and birds. Our tour may end up like 05pm for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 12 : Transfer from Bwindi impenetrable national park to Lake Mbulo national park.

Following the breakfast we may drive to Lake Mbulo national park which is 154 km and 3hrs. 30min. hours’ drive, after reaching Lake Mbulo national park we may do a game drive, Lake Mburo national park which is Lake Mburo was originally gazetted in 1933 as a controlled hunting area and upgraded to a game reserve in 1963.

Lake Mburo National Park is located in Kiruhura District in the Western Region of Uganda. The park is about 30 kilometers (19 mi), by road, east of Mbarara, the largest city in the sub-region. This location is approximately 240 kilometers (150 mi), by road, west of Kampala.

The coordinates of the park are The park has a variety of animals such as zebras, hippopotami, impala, warthogs, elands, buffaloes, jackals, leopards, and over three hundred (300) bird species. At 260 square kilometres (100 sq. mi), the park is the smallest of Uganda’s Savannah national parks. Our tour shall end at around 06pm for dinner and overnight there.

 

Day 13 : Transfer from Lake Mbulo national park to Kampala

We may wake up at around 10am for breakfast and drive to Kampala which is about a distance of 227 km long and 4hr. 20min. after reaching Kampala during the evening hours we shall check in, dinner and overnight.

 

Day 14 : Visit Kampala cultural sites

Right after your Breakfast, our guide-driver will collect you from your hotel to vist the various cultural sites in Kampala such as the Cultural Market, Kasubi tombs in which the kings and royals of the Buganda kigdom are buried, Nagalabi – the Buganda kingdom coronation site, Bahai temple.

the Kabaka’s lake and the Palace of the Buganda king, Nakasero Green Market and Uganda Museum, in addition to many other fascinating sites, where you will learn about the true history of uganda, its kingdoms and its rich varied culture.

Later In the evening, head to the Ndere Cultural center where you will enjoy lots of entertainment including traditional cultural dances. Dine and slumber at your hotel,You’ll be received by our representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Kampala.
