DAY ONE: Arrive in Uganda

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport- Pick up and drop off at Hotel. BB.
Our tour representative will collect you from the airport, brief you about this tour and head to your hotel in Kampala or even Entebbe. Dine and slumber at your hotel.

DAY TWO: Transfer to Murchison falls

After an early breakfast, Your guide will pick you from the  hotel and drive you to Murchison falls national park, this drive will take you through Kawempe and Luwero or through Hoima road. You will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track  Rhinoes. After your  lunch you will continue to the   top of the beautiful Murchison falls and there you can take pictures of the grat nile exploding through a small 7 meter gorge and thunderous drop to over 43 meters below.

this park is a habitat to more than 76 mammals species among which Giraffes, Lions, Elephants , leopards, Buffaloes, spotted Hyenas and Warthogs, together with Jackals, are commonly spotted. Over 450 species of  Bird live within the park including water birds, raptors and the well-known shoebill stork. Among the reptiles are snakes commonly seen preyed on by birds, giant Nile Crocodiles as well as  savannah Monitors. There are also several   primates in the Budongo forest among which are Chimpanzees, red tailed monkeys, Bush babies,  Black & White Colobus Monkeys plus the  L’ hoest Monkeys. You will later check into your lodge for dinner and the overnight

DAY THREE: Game drive  Have lunch and  Boat ride

After an early hot cup of tea / coffee leave for an early morning game drive looking for the early morning riser.  You will look for buffaloes, oribi, elephants, hyena, Rothschild giraffes, lions, Kobs and waterbucks together with birds. Head back and rest at the lodge till lunch time. In the afternoon have   a Boat ride along the Victoria Nile to the base of the falls.  This Boat ride on River Nile goes for 3 hours and you will be able to see Nile crocodiles, numerous hippos, buffaloes, elephants as well as various bird species. Return for dinner and the overnight at the lodge.

DAY FOUR: Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest transfer to Hoima- Village walk

Following breakfast, go to Kanio Papidi where you will be briefed about chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest. you’ll walk under huge old tree species and there you will see several   bird species such as Pavel’s illadopsis,

chocolates-backed Kingfisher and the white-thigh hornbill that are not found in other areas in East Africa. Later head to Hoima.

DAY FIVE: Transfer to Fort Portal and a city tour

After breakfast drive to Fort Portal for a city tour and check out the Amabere Ganyinamwiru a limestone area filled with stalagmites plus stalactites. They are traditionally referred to as “breasts of Nyinamwiru” the mother of the very first Bachwezi king. You will also Visit the crater lakes within the area.

DAY SIX: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Nature walk

After your breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters of Kibale National for briefing regarding chimpanzee tracking and from there you will head into the forest and begin searching for the chimpanzees. As you look for the chimpanzees, you’ll see various primates such as black &white colobus monkeys plus the L’hotst. Observe the chimpanzees jump from one branch to another as they pick different fruits. Head back to the lodge for your lunch and later have a walk in the swamp to see other primates plus bird species. Dine and slumber at your lodge.

DAY SEVEN: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park

After breakfast head back to Queen Elizabeth National Park renowned for its diverse wildlife such as kobs, buffaloes as well as elephants, plus various bird species. Check out the crater lakes such as Lake Katwe renowned for salt mining. Have your lunch back at the lodge go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel to see Hippos and Crocodiles plus water birds and other animals in a distance away. Dine and slumber at your lodge

DAY EIGHT: Game drive and launch cruise

After breakfast, head out for a game drive to see the early risers such as the lions, Hippos, water bucks, buffaloes as well as warthogs, in addition to several birds mainly within the Albertine rift valley. The park features one of the greatest bio diversity including the open Savannah, Rain forests as well as thick swamps. Head back to your lodge for a late breakfast. After lunch you will have a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel to see the various water birds, buffaloes and elephants.

DAY NINE: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

After an Early breakfast, move to Bwindi National Park renowned for the endangered mountain gorillas. This park has eight habituated groups that visitors are permitted to visit and another for scientists plus researchers. Go through the Ishasha sector found in southern Queen Elizabeth National Park legendary for its tree climbing lions. 

DAY TEN: Gorilla trekking

Following breakfast head out with a packed lunch, head to the park headquarters where you will be briefed by park ranger regarding the gorilla tracking. Head into the forest and begin searching for the gorillas beginning where they were previous seen the day before. When you finally find them, you will be allowed to stay with them for only an hour observing them play, feed and cater for each other. Gorilla trekking may take 2 to 8 hours basing on the weather. Dine and slumber at your lodge.

DAY ELEVEN: Transfer to Ruhengeri/ Musanze

After breakfast proceed to Rwanda via Kabale. See the stunning hills and go for a city tour in Kigali. Go to the genocide Memorial centre to see a few of the remains of the victims who were murdered during the genocide. You’ll be informed about what happened and then proceed to Ruhengeri where the mountain gorillas of Par des Volcanoes live found.

DAY TWELVE: Gorilla Trekking

After breakfast, go to the ORTPN to be briefed about gorilla tracking. The Mountain Gorillas are among the endangered prehistorically mammal species which are presently seen in Uganda, Congo as well as rwanda. They stay in families each with a dominant male referred to as silver back. At the present time, they are estimated to be 720 mountain gorillas in the whole world. Your guide will guide you into the verdant forest to start the search. You’re recommended to put on hiking shoes plus long trousers since the forest is usually wet and there could be some biting insects. The total time it will take before you see the gorillas is unpredictable therefore your patience is needed. This search takes Two to eight hours. When you finally meet them, you’ll be filled with pleasure to the extent of not remembering the tiresome journey. You will spend one hour with them, take photographs and observe the young ones play while others feed. Following the tracking, you will visit the two twin lakes Bulera plus Ruhundo.

DAY THIRTEEN: Transfer to Kabale

Following breakfast proceed to Kabale to check the local museum plus the art & crafts pieces available for sale. You will have lunch after which enjoy a canoe ride on the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi the 2nd deepest of Africa’s lava damned lakes with Twenty four small islands. this lake has various bird species such as  cranes, black rumped buttonquail, cattel egrets, papyrus gonolek,  plus the pink-backed pelican. Please note that this lake is bilharzia free.

DAY FOURTEEN: Transfer to Lake Mburo Np – nature walk in the salt lick area

Following breakfast proceed to Lake Mburo National Park to see the huge populations of impalas plus Zebras. The park in addition has several   Uganda kobs, antelopes, impalas, dickers as well as bushbucks. Go to the salt licking area to see the various animals that gather here to lick the salt here.

DAY FIFTEEN: game drive and then transfer to Kampala

After breakfast drive to Kampala, with a game drive on the way, stop by the equator and take some pictures and then proceed to Kampala where you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.

What type of food is typical in Rwanda/Uganda?

The food may not be sophisticated but benefits from the inclusion of fresh fruit and vegetables. You will find a largely vegetarian diet, although meat is available. The cuisine is largely based around beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, bananas, and rice.

 
What's the weather look like in Rwanda

Any time of year is a good time to travel in Rwanda. Rwanda is known as eternal spring. It maintains a relatively even temperature of about 76.3°F – 82°F/ 24.6°C – 27.6 °C. The hottest time of year is August through September. Evenings are often cool and refreshing and a sweater is suggested. There are two rainy seasons, March through May and October through December. The rainy season shows itself typically with a daily downpour mixed with sunshine. The annual rainfall averages 31.5 in/ 80 cm.

For cancellations received within 7 calendar days before the scheduled departure date a 100% cancellation fee will be charged
