Congo Nyiragongo hike within 3 days takes you to Nyiragongo Mountain which is an active stratovolcano, with an elevation of 3,470 m in the Virunga Mountains associated with the Albertine Rift.

Nyiragongo Volcano is located in Virunga National Park. in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Congo Nyiragongo Hike is done  Within 20 km north of Goma Town in DR Congo. but still, they consider That volcano as the one of the world’s active .

Apart from Congo Nyiragongo hike, We will also do the Kigali City Tour and we will visit the Kigali genocide memorial. because it commemorates the 1994 Tutsi genocide where the remains of over 250,000 people are interred there.

By doing the City tour. we will visit the campaign against the genocide museum, which is located in the parliament. CAG Museum depicts in details how RPF/A executed the plan of the campaign to stop the genocide.

Following the withdrawal of UN troops leaving the targeted Tutsi under the mercy of the Genocidaires. only the RPF/A forces who were in the war of liberation took the unilateral decision to stop Genocide. Rescue victims of Genocide and defeat the Genocidal forces. we will end the service of 3 days Congo Nyiragongo hike by taking you to the Kigali International Airport for Departure

Itinerary of 3 days congo nyiragongo hike

 

Day 1 : Pick up in Kigali International airport for Kigali city tour and transfer to DR Congo/ Goma

3 days Congo Nyiragongo hike will start Right after Morning pick up from the airport we will do a short Kigali city tour where we will Visit Kigali Genocide memorial which is the final resting place of 250,000 Rwandans killed in the genocide. It is run by AEGIS, a UK Non-Governmental Organization committed to stop genocides from happening around the world.

The center has different exhibit places with space of skulls of survivors and their personal belongings, photographs of survivors, reconciliation efforts, and genocide perpetrators. Afterwards we will visit the campaign against genocide museum and laternTransfer you to DRC goma for overnight.

 

Day 2 : Congo Nyiragongo  Hike

Morning transfer to the park reception for briefing and grouping later start the congo nyiragongo hike which is an active strato-volcano with an elevation of 3,470 m (11,380 ft.) in the Virunga Mountains associated

 

Day 3 : Nyiragongo Descent and transfer to Kigali for Departure

After having the stunning experience of the Nyiragongo hike we will descent from the summit of the nyiragongo volcanoes as well as transferring back to Kigali which is 3 hours drive, we will later have transfer you to Kigali international airport for departure.
