Itineraries

Day 1 : Arrival at the International Airport Airport

This 7 Days Rwanda primate safari and culture experience will start upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, our guide will be waiting to welcome you to the Land of Thousand Hills, be briefed about the tour expectations and plans then we drop you at your hotel in Kigali.

Day 2 : Transfer to Volcanoes National Park for gorilla trekking.

After you wake up very early in the morning (as early as 04:30 am) to have an early breakfast and start your journey to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Musanze(Kinigi). This is a 2-3 hours journey, and we arrive here at around 07:00 am to be briefed about the gorilla trekking rules and regulations.

The gorilla trekking experience is a 1-8 hours hike after which, you will be transferred to the lodge for your afternoon lunch and later be taken for a community nature walk and in the evening, you will have a retreat at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 : Gorilla Guardian Village Tour

You wake up to a tasty breakfast and start your second-day with a drive to the Gorilla Guardian village where you get to participate in real life with the people here having the opportunity to taste the local foods and locally brewed wines.

You will participate in cultural activities such as storytelling, singing and dancing around a campfire and spend the night in a traditional hut.

Day 4 : Musanze Caves Tour

You wake up, have a tasty breakfast, and then our guide will transfer to the Musanze caves where you wait to experience a unique experience of amazing bats of different types as you enjoy the scenic views of the twin lakes of lake Burera and Ruhondo eyes gazing at all the attractions surrounding you.

The day proceeds with a lunch break and then, later on, go and Visit Ellen DeGeneres campus by the Diana Fossey fund, here you learn about this American Primatologist who loved the gorillas like no other. We end the day with a drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 : Visit The King’s Palace Ethnographic Museum

After your breakfast, The guide will drive you to visit Nyanza, a historical site of the ancient Rwandan kings where you will learn about the ancient traditional practices of the Rwanda people then, later on you will drive to Butare, a Rwanda cultural center for another cultural and historical experience.

In the evening, experience the cultural performances of the Batwa people with an introduction to the life of the first Rwandans, their art of pottery as well as singing, drumming and dancing. Dinner and Overnight in Huye (Butare).

Day 6 : Transfer to Kigali & Kigali city Tour

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali for a city tour where you will visit different places including Kigali Genocide Memorial a tribute to the victims of the 1994 genocide, which offers deep insights into Rwanda’s history. Next, you’ll have the opportunity to visit art galleries and local craft shops, showcasing the vibrant culture and creativity of Rwandan artists. Dinner and Overnight in Kigali.

Day 7 : Departure from Kigali

Have a breakfasts and depending on your flight schedule you will be transferred to the airport for departure. END OF SERVICE
