Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe forest and visit King’s palace Museum, Ethnographic Museum & Murambi Memorial site

Begin your day with a transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park, a scenic 4-hour (218 km) drive from Kigali. Along the way, delve into Rwanda rich heritage with visit to the King’s Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum, where you will explore the royal monarchy and cultural traditions. Next, gain a deeper understanding of Rwanda history by visiting the Murambi Genocide Memorial, a solemn reminder of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi. Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy Walkway in Nyungwe Forest National Park

Start your day early at 5:00 AM with a briefing for the exciting chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe Forest. Venture into this lush tropical forest, home to Rwanda chimpanzee and 13 other primate species, and watch as the chimpanzee swing and interact in their natural habitat. After this unforgettable experience.
In the afternoon, embark on the breathtaking canopy walk, beginning at the Uwinka Visitor Centre. Experience panoramic views of the forest from a height of 70 meters above the ground.

Day 3: Drive from nyungwe to Volcanoes National Park and visit Ellen De Generes Campus

After breakfast, begin your journey at 8:00 AM with a scenic drive from Nyungwe Forest to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze province, covering a distance of 270 km. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of Rwanda countryside. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, where you will gain insight into gorilla conservation efforts and the impactful work being done to protect these majestic creatures.

Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi by 7:00 AM for a briefing on the guidelines for trekking mountain gorillas. Set out on unforgettable trekking experience in search of these majestic creatures. Once you locate the gorillas, this once-in-a-lifetime experience is sure to leave lasting memories.

Day 5 : Golden Monkey Trekking and Visit Gorilla Guardian Village.

After breakfast, your driver guide will take you to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing before beginning your Golden Monkey trekking adventure. Enjoy observing these playful primates in their natural habitat during this thrilling experience. Afterward, visit the Gorilla Guardian Village (formerly Ibyiwacu Cultural Village) to learn about Rwanda cultural practices and traditions.

Day 6 : Transfer from Musanze to Kigali for a city tour, followed by an airport transfer to conclude the tour.

After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Musanze for a transfer to Kigali, a scenic 2.5-hour drive covering approximately 110 km.
