Itineraries

Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park & Experience Local Community Activities

After breakfast at your hotel, your driver guide will pick you up for the 2.5-hour drive to Akagera National Park, with scenic stopovers along the way for photos of the beautiful, winding landscapes. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a short game drive before checking in for lunch at our accommodation. In the afternoon, you will participate in local community activities, including a visit to a nearby village to interact with locals, learn about their culture and explore traditional crafts. You may also get a chance to try local dances or sample indigenous dishes. Later, we will take a boat trip on Lake Ihema to see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and elephants by the water. In the evening, we return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Game Drive and Transfer Back to Kigali

On Day 2, after a hearty breakfast, head out for an exciting game drive through Akagera National Park. This is your chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including the Big Five, Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhinos, Buffalo and many Antelope’s. The park’s diverse landscapes offer a truly unique experience for wildlife enthusiasts. After the game drive, enjoy a relaxing lunch at the lodge before starting our journey back to Kigali. Upon arrival in Kigali, we will drop you off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Akagera Natinal Park safari.
