Apart from the game drive, we shall also have a chance to do a sunset boat riding in Lake Ihema, the 3rd biggest lake in the country, to maximize our chance to see some of the Aquatic animals like crocodiles, hypos and several species of birds.

Itineraries

Day 1 : Transfer from Kigali to east for Akagera National Park safari and Boat ride on Lake Ihema.

In the morning hours right after breakfast, like at 10 am our guide will be pick you up from your hotel in Kigali to transfer to Akagera National Park. The drive will take you 3 hours arriving in the afternoon hours. Check into your hotel and then have an evening sunset boat ride in the Lake Ihema . Overnight at Ruzizi Tented Lodge or Akagera Game Drive Lodge.

Day 2 : Akagera National Park Safari game drive

In the morning before sunrise, to catch up with the early risers, you will go for a morning game drive in the park searching for wildlife like hyenas, and bush pigs …, the drive through the park also will reward you with animals like lions, elephants, buffaloes and many more. Overnight at the Ruzizi Tented Lodge or Akagera Game Drive Lodge.

Day 3 : CITY TOUR, GIFT SHOPS AND DEPARTURE

In the morning right after breakfast like 08 am, you will drive to the northern part of the park for exit and spot some of the animals too. Then afterwards we shall transfer back to Kigali arriving in the afternoon for a short city tour, and a stop at a gift shop for souvenirs. If you have a flight later that afternoon we will drive you straight to the airport. End of your 3 Days Akagera National Park safari.
