Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and trasnfer to accommodation in Kigali.

Upon your arrival at Kigali international Airport, enjoy a VIP lounge reserved for you, while your luggage and travel documents are being handled on your behalf. from there,Your driver guide will then take you to your accommodation in kigali. Accommodation: Kigali Serena Hotel

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe National park.

The second day involves a scenic drive to Nyungwe National Park, located in the southwestern part of Rwanda. The journey typically takes around 5-6 hours, offering views of Rwanda’s lush green landscapes. Once arrived check in to One&Only Nyungwe house, a luxury resort nestled within a tea plantation on the edge of the national park, known for its exquisite service and stunning views.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy walkway experience.

This day is dedicated to exploring Nyungwe National Park’s diverse offerings. The primary activity is chimpanzee trekking, which involves hiking through the forest with experienced guides to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, experience the Nyungwe Canopy Walkway, a 160-meter long, 70-meter high suspension bridge offering panoramic views of the forest. Accommodation: One&only Nyungwe house.

Day 4: Colobus monkey tracking and Gisakura Tean plantation experience.

Embark on a Colobus monkey tracking excursion, seeking out large troops of these distinctive black and white monkeys. Following this, a visit to a local tea plantation providing insight into Rwanda’s significant tea industry, often including a tour of the processing facilities and a tasting session. Accommodation: One&only Nyungwe house.

Day 5: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

The journey continues north to Volcanoes National Park, a drive that typically takes around 4-5 hours. This park is famous for being home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Once arrived, check in to your accommodation near the park. Accommodation: One&only Gorilla’s Nest 

Day 6: First Gorilla trekking experience

Embark on your first gorilla trekking experience. After a briefing at the park headquarters, you will be assigned a gorilla family to track. Upon finding the gorillas, you will spend a precious hour observing them in their natural habitat. Accommodation: One&only Gorilla’s nest

Day 7: Second Gorilla trekking experience

A second day of gorilla trekking allows for the opportunity to visit a different gorilla family or to have a different experience with the same family, offering more chances for photography and observation. This also provides a buffer in case the first trek was particularly challenging or if you want to see more of these magnificent creatures. Accommodation: One&only Gorilla’s nest.

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali for Departure.

On the final day, You will be transferred back to Kigali International Airport for your departure, concluding your 8-day adventure in Rwanda.
