Itineraries

Day 1: Arrive day.

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) at TBA, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide who will be waiting to greet you just outside the arrivals terminal. After a brief introduction, you will be transferred to your accommodation in Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay. The drive from the airport to Arusha takes approximately 45min, covering a distance of about 50 kilometers depending on the location of your lodge and traffic conditions. Once at the lodge, you’ll have time to relax and settle in. In the evening, your guide will conduct a pre-safari briefing to go over the details of your upcoming adventure. No packed lunch is provided on this day, as dinner will be served at the accommodation.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park.

After an early breakfast at your lodge in Arusha, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Tarangire. The flight typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes, offering scenic aerial views of northern Tanzania. Upon landing at the designated airstrip in Tarangire, you will be welcomed by your camp’s driver-guide. From here, you’ll begin exploring the stunning Tarangire National Park on shared and scheduled game drives. Known for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and seasonal swamps, Tarangire is a photographer’s paradise and a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. A packed lunch will be provided to enjoy during your time in the park. In the late afternoon, you will head to your lodge inside the park for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park.

After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will embark on a full day of shared and scheduled game drives and exploration in Tarangire National Park. This day is dedicated to discovering more remote areas of the park, known for its high concentration of wildlife, including lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, and the iconic elephant herds that roam among the ancient baobab trees. Depending on wildlife movement and your preference, you may choose to carry a packed lunch and enjoy a picnic in one of the designated scenic spots within the park, or alternatively, return to the lodge for a hot lunch and a short rest before continuing your afternoon game drive. As the sun begins to set, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and another overnight stay, capping off a rewarding day in the wild.

Day 4: Tarangire National Park – Lake Manyara National Park.

After an early breakfast and checkout from your lodge, your driver-guide will transfer you to Kuro Airstrip within Tarangire National Park for your scheduled flight to Lake Manyara. The flight is short, typically around 30 minutes, offering scenic views over the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival at the Lake Manyara airstrip, you will be met by your lodge’s driver-guide and begin shared and scheduled game drives and exploration within Lake Manyara National Park. Though compact, the park boasts a remarkable diversity of habitats and wildlife, including tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, hippos, and a rich variety of birdlife along the lake’s shoreline. A packed lunch will be provided to enjoy during your time in the park. Later in the afternoon, you will depart the park and drive approximately 1 hours (covering around 60–70 kilometers) to your lodge in the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands. Upon arrival, you’ll settle in for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge perched along the highlands, offering cooler temperatures and stunning views.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater.

Today, after an early breakfast at your lodge, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of shared and scheduled game drives and exploration. Often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five – lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo – all thriving within the caldera’s lush ecosystem. As you explore the crater floor, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the scenic designated sites, often near a hippo-filled lake or under a shady tree. In the late afternoon, after a rewarding day of wildlife viewing, you will ascend the crater walls and return to your lodge in the crater highlands for dinner and an overnight stay. The round-trip drive from your lodge to the crater floor and back typically covers about 60–80 kilometers and takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours each way, depending on your lodge’s location.

Day 6: Crater Highlands – Central Serengeti.

After an early breakfast and checkout from your lodge, your driver-guide will transfer you to the nearest airstrip in Manyara for your scheduled flight to the iconic Serengeti National Park. The flight to Central Serengeti typically takes about 45 to 60 minutes, offering breathtaking aerial views of the vast savannahs and wildlife below. Upon arrival at the airstrip in Central Serengeti, you will be met by your camp’s driver-guide and begin shared and scheduled game drives in this wildlife-rich region. Central Serengeti, particularly the Seronera Valley, is renowned for its abundant resident wildlife and frequent predator sightings, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs. A packed lunch will be provided to enjoy while out in the bush. In the late afternoon, you’ll drive to your camp located inside the park for dinner and an overnight stay, allowing you to experience the magic of the Serengeti under starlit skies.

Day 7: Central Serengeti.

After an early breakfast at your camp, you will head out for a full day of shared and scheduled game drives and exploration in the heart of the Central Serengeti. This region is known for its year-round concentration of wildlife, especially big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, often seen prowling the plains or resting in the shade of acacia trees. Depending on the day’s wildlife activity and your personal preference, you may choose to carry a packed lunch and continue your game drive uninterrupted, or return to camp midday for a hot lunch and a short rest before resuming your afternoon safari. As the sun begins to set over the golden savannah, you will return to your lodge or camp for dinner and another peaceful overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the Serengeti wilderness.

Day 8: Travel Day.

Today marks the final day of your incredible safari adventure. After an early breakfast and checkout from your camp, your driver-guide will transfer you to Seronera Airstrip in Central Serengeti for your scheduled flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). The flight typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, offering a final aerial glimpse of the majestic Serengeti plains. Upon arrival at JRO, you will proceed to connect with your onward international flight. Depending on your departure time, assistance can be arranged to ensure a smooth transfer between the domestic and international terminals. No meals are included on this day, except breakfast at the camp. As you leave Tanzania behind, you carry unforgettable memories of Africa’s wilderness and wildlife.
