Itineraries

Day 1: Kigali City Tour.

Start your journey with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial site, which serves as solemn tribute to over 250,000 victims of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi, out of 1,000,000 people murdered. After reflecting at the memorial, continue with a visit to Kimironko local market, Kigali’s largest and busiest local market where community members come together to buy, sell and socialize. in the afternoon explore nature at Nyandungu Eco Park, a serene urban oasis in Kigali where biodiversity thrives amidst scenic trails, recreational ponds, and lush gardens, offering a tranquil escape for both locals and tourists. followed by a restful evening at your accommodation.

Day 2: Canoeing and visit Ellen DeGeneres Campus.

Embark on an exciting canoeing adventure in Mukungwa river near the Volcanoes National Park, followed by a visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Campus by Dian Fossey Gorilla fund, where you will get to learn more about the conservation efforts dedicated to these magnificent creatures and learn more about their behaviors to better prepare for your Gorilla trekking tour ahead. Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and visit Iby'iwacu culture village (Gorilla Guardians Village)

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking and visit Ibere rya Bigogwe.

Embark on an exciting Golden Monkey trekking in their natural habitat, trekkers are allowed to interact with them for one hour, witnessing their behavior up close as they swing through the bamboo trees and forage for food. followed by an exploration of the scenic Ibere rya Bigogwe. A well known landmark in the region that offers stunning views and fun activities like milking cows, walking the pastures, playing games and dances. Conclude your adventure with a serene overnight stay in the beautiful city of Rubavu.

Day 5: Kivu Belt Exploration and Gisakura Tea Plantation Tour.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walkway.

Day 7: Visit King's Palace Museum and Return to Kigali.
