The 2 days Rwanda gorilla tour is an exceptional package taking you to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park home to the highest population of mountain gorillas in the Virunga Conservation Area. The tour also entails a city tour to various sites in Kigali such as the Genocide Memorial Site among others. The tour starts and ends in Kigali.
The Rwanda Gorilla tour package will start after arriving at the Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will take you for a city tour to various sites in the city. Among the sites you will tour in Kigali there is the Kigali Genocide Memorial site which is a place of remembrance and learning dedicated to the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda 1994. Next, check out local art and craft markets. Have lunch and then transfer to Musanze at Volcanoes National Park for dinner and overnight.
As early as 6:30am, have breakfast and then transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for briefing before Rwanda gorilla tour. At 8:00am you will start to hike into the forest with the lead of an armed guide following specific trails in search of the allocated gorilla family.
After reaching the gorillas, you will spend an hour with them and then descend back to the lodge. In the afternoon after lunch, go for cultural & historical tour at Gorilla Guardian Village.
