In this safari, you will enjoy many things including the gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park and wildlife viewing safari, game drive, and bird watching in Akagera National Park. Bird lovers will also have a special treatment here because both parks are rich in diversity of bird species, some of which are rare/endangered. On the first day, you will be picked up by our driver guide at Kigali International Airport and transferred to your hotel. Short briefing about the tour as you make final preparations. Overnight and Meal plan at Milles Collines Hotel.
The second day, will start when the driver guide picks you up from the hotel in the morning after breakfast, embark on a 2-hour drive to Akagera National Park. There are beautiful sceneries you shall be exposed to along the way, upon arrival check-in at Akagera Game Lodge, have lunch, and in the Afternoon go for one of Africa’s most wonderful sunset boat ride in Lake Ihema, while on the boat ride expect to see hippos, huge Nile crocodiles and a rich bird life of about 525 bird species and the elephant in Akagera National Park. Return for dinner and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge.
In the morning have breakfast and proceed for a morning game drive to catch up with early raisers and predators returning to their hideouts.
The game drive will reward you with chances to see a variety of elephants, buffalos, lions, Maasai giraffe, gazelles, impala, baboons, oribi, Butchel’s zebra, topi, leopard and bush buck among others, take break to enjoy your packed lunch, and continue with your game drive for the rest of the day. After having your breakfast in the morning drive back to Kigali, have lunch and proceed to the Volcanoes National Park through the beautiful terraced hillsides of Rwanda to the northern province where Volcanoes National Park is located a home to the endangered Rwanda Gorilla.

After early breakfast, head out to the park office for a briefing about Rwanda Gorilla trekking at the Kinigi park station, then drive to the slopes of the forest.
Rwanda Gorilla trekking is no longer quite strenuous, we send an advance team so you can move directly to the spot where the advance team has located the Rwanda Gorilla. Maximum permitted time with the Rwanda Gorilla is 1 hour, return to the lodge for lunch.
Later you may visit Iby’iwacu cultural village, Village Walk and OR drive to enjoy the twin lake view of Burera and Ruhondo. Overnight and meal plan at Mountain View Lodge.
Apart from Rwanda gorilla trekking, we will also do Golden Monkey trekking after having an early breakfast at the hotel drive to the park office for your golden monkey trekking, a trek can take from 2 to 3 hours of hiking.
You will spend an hour taking photos and receiving explanations from the guide and then move down and be driven back to your hotel for lunch.
