Overview

Your adventure begins with your arrival in Arusha, where you will settle in and prepare for the journey ahead. On second Day , you will depart Arusha and head towards the Central Serengeti, known for its abundant wildlife and scenic savannahs. Day 3 takes you further into the wilderness as you travel from Central Serengeti to the Southern Serengeti, a region especially renowned for the Great Migration during certain seasons. You will spend Days 4 and 5 exploring the Southern Serengeti, offering ample opportunity to witness incredible wildlife and soak in the breathtaking landscapes. On Day 6, you will leave the Serengeti behind and make your way to Karatu, a charming town nestled in the highlands. Finally, on Day 7, you will visit the iconic Ngorongoro Crater a UNESCO World Heritage Site before returning to Arusha.

Itineraries

Day 1: Arrive Arusha.

You will arrive at JRO (Kilimanjaro International Airport) where you will be warmly welcomed by your driver guide. Afterward, you will be transferred to your accommodation in Arusha, where you can enjoy dinner and relax overnight. A pre-safari briefing will also be held to prepare you for the adventure ahead..

Day 2: Arusha – Central Serengeti.

After breakfast, you will transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to the Central Serengeti. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you for private game drives throughout the day, focusing on the wildlife-rich Seronera Valley, known for big cat sightings. You will have a packed lunch during the drive and later head to your camp or lodge in the Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Central Serengeti - Southern Serengeti.

Begin the day with a sunrise in the Serengeti, followed by breakfast and a game drive from the Central to Southern Serengeti, heading to the Ndutu area. This region is especially vibrant during calving season, with wildebeest births attracting predators and offering exceptional wildlife viewing. The 3–4 hour drive (about 80–100 km) includes a packed lunch in the bush, ending with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge in Ndutu.

Day 4: Southern Serengeti.

Start your day in the wild beauty of Ndutu with an early breakfast before heading out for full-day game drives. During the calving season, the lush plains are filled with wildebeest herds and newborns, attracting predators and offering dramatic wildlife encounters. You will enjoy a packed lunch in the bush to make the most of your time exploring, then return to your lodge or camp in the late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Southern Serengeti.

After an early breakfast, you will head out for another day of game drives in the Ndutu plains of the southern Serengeti. With each passing day, new wildlife encounters await whether it’s a predator on the hunt, newborn wildebeest, or rare sightings. Carrying a packed lunch allows for uninterrupted exploration. In the late afternoon, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay, taking time to reflect on the day’s unforgettable moments.

Day 6: Southern Serengeti – Karatu.

After breakfast, you will embark on your final game drive in the Southern Serengeti’s Ndutu area, spotting wildlife en route as you travel toward the Crater Highlands. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will stop at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the crater before continuing to Karatu town. The journey covers about 150 km and takes 4–5 hours. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha.

Begin the day with a short drive from Karatu to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you will descend into the caldera for a full day of game drives. This UNESCO World Heritage site offers close encounters with iconic wildlife like lions, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo in a stunning volcanic landscape. After enjoying a packed lunch in the crater, you will ascend in the afternoon and drive back to Arusha (about 4–5 hours, 190 km). From there, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure, concluding your unforgettable Tanzanian safari.
