Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali city tour experience and transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

Immerse yourself in Rwanda’s history and learn about the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi with a visit to Kigali Genocide Memorial site. Your adventure continues with the rest of Kigali city tours, including a visit to Kimironko local Market for local souvenirs and Nyamirambo Women’s Centre to learn about how the centre has supported women’s livelihoods over the years and growing into a bigger facility. From here, you will visit Fazenda Sengha and set off to Volcanoes National Park arriving there in the evening and prepare for the next day’s activities.

Day 2: Visit Iby'iwacu Cultural Village (Gorilla Guardians Village) & Ellen DeGeneres Campus.

On Day 2, immerse yourself in Rwanda’s vibrant culture at the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village which is also known as the Gorilla Guardians Village. You will enjoy the traditional music, dance and a showcase of Rwandan Traditional Wedding. Later, visit Ellen DeGeneres Campus to learn about ongoing efforts of Gorilla conservation and the impact of sustainable tourism in protecting Rwanda’s wildlife. This is in preparation of your gorilla trek the next day and it will be followed by a return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and later the overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park.

Day 3 is for the Gorilla trekking experience in the lush forest of Volcanoes National Park to look out for the endangered primates. You will trek through the dense forest, where you will encounter the majestic mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat, witness their gentle yet powerful presence up close and simply get amazed by their interesting natural behavior in the wild. After this unforgettable experience, embark on a scenic road trip back to Kigali with great exploration memories.
