Itineraries

Day 1: Kigali City Tour and Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund

The tour will start with a pick up at Kigali International Airport by our guide, who will assist you with your luggage and start you on a half-day city tour of Kigali, where you will explore the must visiting sites such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, gaining insight into the rich history and culture of Rwanda. Following the city tour, you will hit the road to Musanze, where you will visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn about the on going gorilla conservation efforts and about the late Dian Fossey. After this enlightening visit, check in at your hotel in Musanze for a restful overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Ibyiwacu Cultural Village

On the second day, you will wake up early and enjoy breakfast before heading to Volcanoes National Park for an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. After a briefing at the park headquarters, you will head to the forest to start your trek to observe the majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. This once-in-a-lifetime encounter will be a highlight of your trip. After the trek, you will visit the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village, where you can engage with local communities and learn about Rwandan culture and traditions. Return to your hotel in Musanze in the afternoon to relax and rest the day’s adventures.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Burera Twin Lakes

The following day begins with an early breakfast before you set off to trek golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park. Once again, head to the Volcanoes National Park to see these playful primates in their natural environment. After your golden monkey encounter, you will be transferred to Burera to visit the stunning famous Twin Lakes, where you can enjoy the serene beauty of the area and later, enjoy a sunset boat cruise on the lakes, taking in the breathtaking views as the sun sets. After the cruise, you will check in to your accommodation in Burera for the night.

Day 4: Canoeing in Mukungwa and Departure to Kigali

On the final day of your tour, you will start with a delightful breakfast before going canoeing on the Mukungwa River, where you can appreciate the beautiful surroundings and observe local wildlife. After your canoeing adventure, you will be transferred back to Kigali, where you will have the option to stop along the way to visit local shops or crafts shops for some souvenirs. Finally, our guide will drop you off at Kigali International Airport, concluding your memorable tour of Rwanda.

Day 5: Arrival - Nairobi Evening at Leisure

Upon arrival at J.K.I.A you are met by explorer Kenya representative for a short briefing,
thereafter, transfer by our driver guide drive towards Hemingways Karen Check in upon arrival, dinner will be served. Later dinner and overnight at Hemingways Karen – Full board.

Day 6: Nairobi- Explore Kenya History & Culture

Our driver will do the pickup in the morning and visit the giraffe Centre get extremely up close and personal to the world’s tallest species! Up on the feeding platform the giraffes love to interact with visitors, reaching out with their long, inquisitive tongues in hope of a treat. Seeing their mascara-like eyelashes from just inches away, feeling the roughness of their dark tongues and witnessing their different personalities is fascinating. Lunch at Karen Blixen coffee garden, afternoon visit Karen Blixen Museum, which offers a glimpse into Kenya’s history. Once the farmhouse of Baroness Karen Blixen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Brorvon Blixen Fincke, the house gained international fame through the Oscar-winning film ‘Out of Africa’which is based on her autobiography of the same name. The museum provides guided tours of the house and beautifully serene grounds and gives you a sense of the style of Karen Blixen’s home with a number of original pieces of furniture still in place. Later in the evening return for dinner and overnight at Hemingways Karen – Full board

Day 7: Nairobi (WIlson) Fly Maasai Mara Game Reserve - Spa Treatment

Breakfast with the giraffes, later transfer to Wilson airport for the morning scheduled flight to Masai Mara game reserve. Upon arrival you are met at the airstrip, enjoy game drive enroute, you will arrive on time for lunch at the camp, afternoon enjoy Spa treatment either at the shady corner of camp or from the comfort of your own room, The camp is equipped with a professional therapist the product are made from organic brand inspired ancient African healing traditions, as well as Cinnabar Green, a natural range of products using organic essential oils grown in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Day 8: Masaai Mara Game Reserve - Full Day Game Drive

After breakfast, check out with picnic lunch for a full day game drive, The area around Sala’s Camp is teeming with diverse wildlife, from sweeping skylines to thrilling spectacles such as the migration and the immense variety of wildlife, there are endless photographic opportunities. Our guides are there to help you capture the perfect shot; simply tell them what you’re looking for and they’ll do their best to assist. You also have the chance of spotting the big five Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino and Buffalo. The most enjoyable part will be the hunting by the cats. Later in the evening return for dinner and overnight at Salas Camp – Game Package

Day 9: Masai Mara Game Reserve - Hot Air Ballon Safari & Nature Walk

Pick up at the camp by 0500hrs in the morning for 01-hour balloon safari, soaring high over the savannah on a sunrise balloon safari is a truly unforgettable and magical experience. Glide silently above the plains and spot wildlife as you experience 360-degree views as far as the eye can see. Balloon rides are particularly magnificent during the migration, when you will witness millions of animals grazing on a green carpet below you. Upon landing there will be a celebration on bush breakfast close to wherever you land , our diver will do the pick up proceed with game drive en route towards the camp, arriving on time for lunch , afternoon on nature walk and bird watching which is arranged within the camp, this will take an hour , later for sundowner with a refreshing drink in hand and tasty homemade ‘bitings’,the Kenyan term for canapes, there is nothing better than watching the sun sink low on the horizon over the vast plains of the Masai Mara. Later in the evening return for dinner and overnight at Salas Camp – Game Package

Day 10: Depart and Fly Nairobi

Enjoy bush breakfast, offers the best chance of exciting wildlife encounters. Being able to eat a freshly cooked breakfast whilst doing it, later return to pack for check out then transfer to the airstrip for the morning scheduled flight to Wilson – Nairobi, upon arrival at Wilson transfer towards J.K.I.A for the scheduled international flight.
