Bisoke hiking tour will be done on Mount Bisoke Volcano which is a dormant volcano part of the 8 volcanoes of the Virunga conservation region of East and Central Africa. Mount Bisoke stands at 3,711 meters with a crater lake and beautiful vegetation at the summit.
Bisoke hiking tour is a 1 day hike which requires good fitness and its a tough steep hike and advisable to take a porter to help carry your water and backpack.
1 day Bisoke hiking tour will start when Shalom Safaris tour guide will pick you up from Kigali at 4:00 AM (Hotel / Airport) and bring you to Volcanoes National Park headquarters – Kinigi Park office.
Here you register and get briefed on the hiking guidelines and also provided with hiking equipment before driving to the head trail to begin the Mt Bisoke Hiking tour.
With your porter and lunch box, embark on your mountain climb and which lasts between 5 – 6 hours or less to the top for the experienced hikers and 2 hours to descend back to the base.
Later, retrieve the starting point, for your drive back to Kigali.
