Shalom Safaris curated the perfect itinerary for me to enjoy my first time in Nyungwe Forest National Park. Over the three days I hiked through ancient rainforest to spectacular waterfalls, tracked chimpanzees in the wild, learned how to pick tea in a plantation and rode the new zipwire, which is the longest of its kind in East Africa and carrries you thrillingly 80 metres above the forested valley. John Petite drove us three days through Ruanda. It was a great time, to drive with him. First he drove us to our hike at Mount Bisoke. While driving, he told us many things about the Park, the nature and the fields around us. At our second day, we drove to the Twinlakes, where we went for a walk, before making our way to Akagera National Park. At our last day, he drove us through Akagera National Park. This country is beautiful, and it offers so much. Thank you so the amazing staff and leaders of this company. Meeting Lisa and Alain was top notch when we arrived and so sweet that they came to greet us. We experienced and did so much in our 10 days there. Our guide Mitchell was the best and was super friendly and gave so many tips. Muhammed had a lot of helpful tips and information and took us to this beautiful waterfall. The tour was awesome. The team did their best to make our trip unforgettable and unique. Lisa organized an amazing 7-day tour. Our driver Muhammad was both professional and approachable at all times. Alain, the owner, and another member of the team managed to recover my luggage which had not arrived at Kigali Airport. They drove for eight hours overnight to reach us and ensure my wife got her medication, which was still in our luggage. Plus they organized an incredible birthday party for her… so what else could I say? Hats off to the them! Highly recommended. View more
