Location
From Kigali, the journey to Wilderness Bisate takes approximately2-3 hours by road, travelling north through Rwanda beautiful countryside and the town of Musanze, which is approximately 15 kilometres, roughly 20–30 minutes by road, before continuing toward the foothills of the Virunga volcanoes. As you get closer to Bisate, the landscape becomes greener and more mountainous, with beautiful views of the surrounding volcanoes and local communities along the way. The lodge sits right on the edge of Volcanoes National Park, in a natural volcanic bowl surrounded by lush rainforest the climate is cool and fresh.
